In 7th grade, 1991, I was called a ‘sunshine boy’ for following the Twins (two championships within 5 years), the 49ers (just coming out of a dynasty), and Notre Dame (still in the midst of the Holtz years). (The Mets did not carry much weight.)
Well, the sunshine’s gone, and I’m still here.
